Sunday, skippers were greeted by light showers that
minimized to a drizzle then a mist then overcast. Winds were in
the 4-6 range most of the day. Headquarters were moved
around the pond and the skippers sailed left to right. RD Jim
Grover restricted boats from going downwind through S/F to avoid
the "head ons" that were occurring Saturday. Skippers used
the slight bank on the side of the pond to improve site lines
and then quickly walked down to the sidewalk and walked
alongside their boats. Racing was called at 3:30 PM and
award were presented. Traditional award for skippers
traveling the farthest went to Mark Rinehart who edged out Dave
Brawner by the fact that he drove up to Brawner's house in
NJ to drive to Detroit together. Mark received a Detroit
Tiger "Tom Selleck " look alike ball cap. Everyone promised to
travel safely home......
