Yes, $84 is a good rate for the Super 8 but be aware it is NON REFUDABLE. I hate that.[

Hey team black boat and brother from the same mother... Not going to make PBG but I sure would like to. Have to wait until I see you all in March. The way the weather has been, we will have to drive that far south to find soft water!

Have fun guys.

The Palm Beach Gardens EC-12 regatta has been hampered by bad weather the last couple of years. This year looks totally different! The forecast is for Sunny skies, temps in the upper 70's, and wind 5-10 both Saturday and Sunday. I look forward to sailing with all of you. There are 30 entries, so with P/R, we will have 17 on the line in each of two fleets with 4 moving up and down. The initial A and B fleets have been determined using the National Seeding List (NSL). The initial fleets are posted on the Florida EC-12 site and can be viewed by clicking on the following link:

Wondering what the list is like at PBG? For those around the nation interested and not looking at the Florida Website, this is where you can see the information for the the regatta.

There are 30 on the non numbered list, 13 in A Fleet and 17 in B Fleet for the start of the regatta. By going through the class site regatta schedule you can see this without being a member of 12 Discussions.

I am touring the Gulf Coast of the Florida Panhandle on my way to the regatta. if you follow the regattas of the class schedule, it is best from 12 Discussions. The reminder is that the Florida Association is where more information can be found for their events.

Thanks to Doc Greer and the PBG team for a wonderful weekend of EC12 racing and friendships in the Florida sun. It was great to stomp the NE snow off the shoes. Congrats to the winners and especially Brenda for her best finish ever. Well done.

I am sure the PBG team will post the full scores as soon as they recover. It was a challenging regatta with big winds on Saturday and a weather mark going away from us. Sunday was much nicer with an A-rig day that lightened with each race. The weather could not have been nicer. The crew at PBG did a great job and the No Bull Chilli was terrific.

I may get this wrong as I am going from memory, but I think the top 10 were:
1. Alan Perkins
2. Dick Hedderick
3. Jon Luscomb
4. Gerhard Kelter
5. Jim Kaighin
6. Joe Walter
7. Brenda Pardee This is her highest finish ever and boy did she sail well!
8. Ok, this is where my memory fails me. I think it was one of the Pfeils, either Fred or Steve
9. I want to say this was Jim Pardee. He sailed very well this weekend with a bullet in A
10. Rick West. this one I remember.

Sorry, if I got these wrong, Jon will have this corrected soon enough. It was great to see everyone. I enjoyed sailing in the B-fleet for half the day on Saturday. You guys are great.
And hats off to Judith Clarke and Liz Perkins on their great sailing as well. It is really nice to see the ladies sailing and as you can tell from 7th place, they are getting pretty good.

I do think the prizes for the ladies is getting a little out of hand...what about a prize for most heats in B-fleet by a Class Secretary?
