Atlanta One Day Regatta July 14 2013

Our One Day annual Red White Blue Regatta is being held at the Atlanta Yacht Club on Sunday, July 14 - usual AYC hospitality, skippering from the cool shade of the Viewing Pavilion, lunch, great winds, free beer, neat trophies, etc.

Organized by the AYC EC12 Meter Fleet and hosted by the Atlanta Yacht Club, located at 7120 Yacht Club Drive, Acworth GA 30102.

9:00 am - AYC opens, skippers gather and rig at the Viewing Pavilion.
9:45 am - Skippers’ Meeting at the Viewing Pavilion.
10 am - Warning sound for First race.
12:30 - 1:15 pm - Lunch served at the Viewing Pavilion (approximate time frame).
1:15 pm - Racing resumes, no race to begin after 3:00 pm.
4-5 pm Awards Presentation and After the Races social with beer, chips and soft drinks at the
Viewing Pavilion (approximate time frame).

Another OUTSTANDING event at the Atlanta Yacht Club !!!!! 18 races in one day !!!!!! awesome. Thanks to Ian, John and crew for a top notch event.

Fun and well done and big wind one day regatta Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Atlanta Yacht Club. Thank you RD Ian Elliott, Organizer and picture taker John Muhlhausen, score keeper Rita Fullick, and John and Ian's wives Kitza and Lisa for their signup and lunch help, along with others. I got some pictures from John.

I was afraid Kitza would take that picture at that exact moment. Darn.

I am not so sure of the name but winner was DP Lin, second Gary St. Louis, and third Jack Shepard. The big high pressure system that is still roasting a lot of the country brought us an east wind of about 8 to 18 and up, right down the lake.
