It was a tough day today at the pond. Wind direction was terrible....90 degree shifts. sw to nw. Our pond is ok with either, but it was west most of the day the other worst direction! RD (Luscomb and Losell) struggled "chasing the wind", but they could not catch it! Wind was A rig in the morning, then around one, folks began to switch to B and there was talk of C!!!!!. Most were there by 1:30 or so.
We had 3 new sailors in the class andthis was their first regatta! Greco, Scavala and Brewer. We are very glad to have them! WELCOME!!!!
Last night, the boys and girl got together and told me I should sail. Well it did not take too long. Gibby offered to RD and I sailed! (should have stayed RD...it is too hard to do both!) Than you Gibby! THe team of volunteers that were here to help were really an Army! The food was excellent. Breakfeast was like a bake sale..with fruit and coffe. Lunch was Pizza, footlong hot daogs, and Luscombs homemade chilie,,,,Thanks to alll that helped!!!
Tommorrow is forcasted to be a growler out of the north. Good for our pond, but growler not so good. I am hoping that the blast from this front gets it over with and moves on. Tonights lows with wind chill...35. High tommorrow....55, sunny and 15 to 17!!!! cold for us thin blooded whimps..but at leasts the ponds are not frozen.
