Programming RMGs with 2.4g Radios

What is the trick to get the RMGs to respond to the 2.4g radios given the delay with linking up.
I have a Futaba T6EX

I have the 6EX also and had no problems at all programming the RMG. I did make the disconnect switch so I didn't have to keep turning the reciever on and off. Maybe that's what you're missing to make things easier. I got a cheap toggle switch from Radio Shack and wired it into a 6" extension and that's all you need. My RMG is the D model which is different from the E model so you'll have to check the instructions to see what will work for you.
