Start of the pre race is Saturday morning at 8am EST. Again, this is the pre race and not the first leg of the Volvo Ocean Race. This is a short hop from Alicante heading East leaving the island of Mallorca to starboard and then return to Alicante. About 500 miles. You will be able to log into the game 24 hours in advance of the start so you can plan your route and look at the forcast winds.

I'm also on global ocean race as MJS82 and Sailonline.org as gatorsailer.

I'm sailing both VORG and GORG with out buying any extra's.

I like sailonline.org much better than vor or gor. they vary the boats, and there is no ability to purchase any extra equipment, and its free as well. and they run mutiple races some of them only several hours long, some a few days... at mutiple locations around the globe...
