Steve, I hope to come to your regatta as well. I have only sailed there the one time for the Nationals. I should have been back already. I might drive up to Atlanta to join the Peachtree City group and ride the rest of the way with Dave and Mike.

If you have entries already, start posting them here. People want to know who is coming.

To all, the error on the schedule was mine alone. I have corrected it. Sorry for the confusion. It was correctly listed as the 18-19th everywhere except on the Class schedule. Which is just about the worst place for the error to be.

I am planning on coming to this regatta. It will be my first time back there since they hosted the NCR in 2013.

I hope there will be a big turnout from everyone in Dixie. Let's fill the lake up with EC12s.

Just entered via online entry found on the AMYA website. Not likely to get in before dinner time but certainly by drinking time.

Just booked the Holiday Inn Suites. Got two rooms and may have an extra spot on a pull out sofa. So I have DT, Joe, Reichard, MIke, and me covered.

Great guys. Still hopin to hear from some more of the locals, and the Raleigh guys. I'll be happy to race or stupidvise. Our scorekeeper extrordinaire Jamie will be in town, fresh from her 3 month west coast swing.

Anyone else from Jax, GA, or Charleston I should reach out to?
Chuck Millican is unavailable. Not sure how far north we will get entries with their regional a week or two before.

Steve Helander and company did a fantastic job of running the Soak at the Oak Regatta this weekend. Thanks so much for making it a great weekend Steve and our prayers are with your wife as she recovers.

Hats off to Alan Perkins on his tie breaker win over Reichard Kahle. I kind of feel responsible as I led most of that one race only to let Alan pass me for the win at the end. Reichard might have won and I might not have dropped back behind Gerry Cobley. But that is sailing and it was a very fun weekend.

Here are the results according to the photo I took of the score sheet.
1 Alan Perkins 43 points 9 firsts
2 Reichard Kahle 43 points 8 firsts
3 Danny Thomas 52
4 Gerry Cobley 95
5 Joe Walter 98
6 Dave Linville 115
7 Skip Steagall 152
8 Liz Perkins 155
9 Richard Wiley 180
10 Ron Small 181
11 Tom Linville 206
12 Ann Gates 216
13 Bo Jones 244

We sailed something like 25 races in a single fleet. Nobody went home saying they did not get enough races in.

Thanks for the quick scoring report, Joe. I'll do a more detailed race report this week. Work is insane right now (but hey, I still have a job, so thats a good thing).....

To everyone that came and raced, THANK YOU!!! You made a large single-fleet event possible, with only a handful of mishaps. Gerry required the most rescues, because he liked to let his boat go into the trees between races(I lost count after three times of wading in to retrieve it). We got in 24 races, and had the wind stayed like Saturday, we could have gotten to 28 or more.

To those that weren't able to make this year's event, you missed out on a great time. As the weekend continued, those at the back of the fleet started learning from their mistakes, making it a little less stressful for the upwind/downwind meetings between the front and rear of the fleet.
