2017 Soak at the Oak Regatta Greensboro-High Point, NC

The 2017 racing season is finally starting, and the Greensboro Model Yacht Club invites you to join us for our annual Soak at the Oak EC12 regatta. This year’s event will take place May 20-21. The lake will be open on Friday afternoon for any practice sailing. Steve Helander will serve as registrar and RD for this event. This is a great opportunity for new sailors to get their feet wet with Fleet Racing, or for those experienced skippers to get some stick time on the water.

Schedule
Friday May 19, 2017
Practice Sailing in afternoon.
Park closes at dusk. Evening get-together TBD.
Saturday, May 20, 2017
8:30 Pre-race check-in
9:00 Skipper’s meeting
9:15 First Race
12:00 Break for lunch
16:00 Latest start of the last race of the day
18:30 Evening get-together
Sunday, May 21, 2017
8:45 Skipper’s meeting
9:00 First Race
13:00 Latest start of last race
14:00 Announce results, award presentation

Skippers are encouraged to bring their measuring certificate information.
Entry Fee
$35.00. Please pay using PayPal (email settinsails@gmail.com for paypal info), or email Steve Helander for check payment information. Skippers breakfast, lunch for Saturday and Skippers breakfast for Sunday is included in the entry fee. Non sailors fee of $5.00. Entry fee is only refundable if cancelled prior to the entry deadline of May 15, 2017.

Sorry, been down with computer issues. Would love to see more people sign up, and join us at Oak Hollow Lake.Going to try to recruit some of the Queen City MYC 12 skippers to come up during this weekends Seawind R3.
