I just got my entry in. I was trying to figure out if I could make it up to Tilghman Island for their regatta, but my work schedule just would not make it possible. Happy to be coming up to Peachtree City to check out this new venue.

I hope Reichard and Ricky can make it.

See you all at the lake.

Reminder for all coming;

Do not pay for parking at the lake, we will have parking passes for your window when you get there. Remember the Friday Party at Tom's, the address is in the NOR and instructions.

As of now we have 18 boats coming and I plan on a single fleet right now, should be a great time !!!!

2. Scott Vernon 61

Fantastic regatta! Dave Linville and his whole crew did an amazing job. Can't wait to see Tom Evans' photos.
Just got home from the 5 hour plus drive and too tired to list everyone The top five stayed the same, but the order changed a little.

Ricky and Reichard moved up to 2nd and 3rd respectively and Scott dropped back to 4th. If the regatta could have ended at lunch time on Saturday, Scott would have been the winner with an horizon job.

For myself, I had a great weekend. My only setback was a windward-leeward foul that unfortunately made me have to withdraw from the heat with a totaled B-Rig and Dave Pulling getting redress. And thankfully, this mistake did not take me out of 1st place. I have already ordered the new B-Rig from John B.

Next up is Sun City-Hilton Head.

Thanks Peachtree City for a great time.

Second annual Peachtree Regatta was held in fine autumn weather for a welcome change here in the "Hotlanta" area. Partly cloudy, temps in the mid 70's and winds NNW at 9mph Sat and filling nicely to "B rig" conditions for the Sun heats. The skippers got a glimpse of our very active Peachtree City community with the Run Like A Diva Half Marathon, corporate team Dragon Boat Race practice, downwind pattern of the airport overhead, all competing for space on the lake and at the hotels!
Thanks to the folks who drove many miles to join us and we hope everyone had a fine weekend of EC-12 racing and hospitality. We'll see you at your lake soon!

One more comment on the Peachtree regatta and the Turtle Pond club. All the locals were just as nice and hospitable as can be. They sailed like gentlemen and there is a lot of potential in these sailors who, with a little more stick-time will be really tough to pass on the race course. John Muhlhausen always had a smile on his face even when his boat broke, Dave Pulling and I had probably the most enjoyable crash with wrecked rigging and torn sails anyone could have. I know that sounds crazy, but we both learned from it and I wanted a new B-rig anyway. Watch out for Ian Elliot, Jack Shepard, Bill Tumlin and Ken Williams. They are upcoming stars in the class for sure. And don't let those scores of the Linville's fool you. This was their first ever regatta and they just need to figure out the ins and outs of the EC12 and their big boat sailing experience will start to show on the pond.

Just an all around great weekend and a possible future venue for the Nationals.

Thanks guys.

And Happy Birthday Ricky Bobby. Shake and Bake!

Joe said it best, just an all around great weekend! Thanks to all of the Peachtree City folks for the fun regatta and the great hospitality. Congrats to Joe for the win, sailing consistently in the top five almost every race.
