It took place. John Muhlhausen did a great job of guessing which way the wind was going to blow and setting and resetting good challenging courses. The wind was typical 0 to about 6 from various directions and the lake was Sunday-lumpy. We were only able to get in 6 races before lunch and 1 1/2 races after lunch, before the big close thunder caused all AYC big boat and little sailboat racing on the lake to be over for the day. Fun close lead-change-after-lead-change windward leeward racing on nice long just-slightly-eye-test (at the windward mark and offset) courses.

Results
1st Dave Linville 13 points
2nd Ian Elliott 17
3rd Jack Shepard 24
4th Scott Vernon 38
5th Lew English 45
6th Chuck Millican 49
7th tie Tom Evens 56
David Pulling 56
9th Chip Hawkins 57
10th Bill Tumlin 61
11th Chuck Ellis 65
12th Don Hackbarth 77

Keg and many many bottles of beer offered after the races. Drivers were smart and discreet fortunately.

Had an Eric Olson sighting as well. Great to see him. He was trying to fix the electronics - winch - one of the boats the week before the regatta. Covered all the bases, but was not able to fix it. He does high quality soldering, etc work. Maybe a bad armature. We will see.

Great fun.

Scott

Another great job by John all the AYC members who helped. It's a great venue and I really appreciate being able to sail there.
