What Joe said! It was really Pfun to meet the Pfruit of Pfred's loins. What a great bunch the Pfiels are. The all look like Pfreinke! We sailed Pfast and Pfurious on Sunday on a gorgeous day! Thanks to all who helped. See you in St. Augustine.

Hedderick had it really going Pfast this weekend. He sailed really well and his boat was dialed in! Good job Dick.

Joe's recap covered the highlights of St. Pete. The Pfeil clan was happy to bring St. Pete back into the circuit. I would like to thank the Dudinsky's for their help, the crew from Sun City Center: Will and Carl for the great job on scoring, Ron and Russ for all the unseen things done but make a regatta run smoothly, Ken Morrison for judging and guidance. Here are the top ten results:

1836 Dick Hedderick 28 pts
2114 Alan Perkins 32.4
2224 Joe Walter 48
2045 Jon Luscomb 58
2100 Doc Greer 92
72 Jim Pardee 103
1812 Brenda Pardee 113
1982 Frank Villa 113.6
1040 Liz Perkins 117
1936 Dick Reinke 120

Hats off to the Pfeil family and friends. For their first regatta, Fred and his committee put on a fun and very well organized event. And the dinner at the Twisted Martini was very good with quick efficient service. It was great to be back at St. Pete and we all look forward to this event next year!
As for my own performance, it was a exciting to win a Florida regatta. The skill level and competition in Florida runs very deep. Winning is a challenge. I feel I did well by concentrating on the basics: making every mark, avoiding contact with other boats, and keeping cool if things went bad.
Thanks again to Fred and Steve Pfeil, the Dudinsky's, and all the race crew.
