The Holiday Regatta at St. Augustine is a GO!

Here is the link to the online registration https://www.theamya.org/RegattaDetail.asp?RGID=10314

The hotel at our venue has given us a $159.00 plus tax rate. Book as soon as you can at 904-940-9500 and ask for the Model Yacht Club group.

The Jacksonville Model Yacht Club is considering hosting a one or two-day regatta the weekend of Dec 2-3. The Holiday Regatta was a regular event for many years hosted by the Punta Gorda club. We tried to host it last year, but did not get enough entries, and so we cancelled it.

I would like to hear from folks who would be interested in coming to our St. Augustine hotel venue and would you prefer a One-Day event on Saturday or a Two-Day event on Saturday and Sunday.

I can check with the hotel for some discounted room rates.

We know there are a number of other classes hosting events near or on these dates.

Please respond here if you would be interested and if you would prefer one-day or two-day.
Thanks

Joe Walter

The Christmas season in St. Augustine is known for its sensational Nights of Lights holiday display. During Nights of Lights, white lights glow from the sidewalks to the rooftops, over the Bridge of Lions and trail through approximately 20 city blocks in St. Augustine’s Historic District. Taking in the soft, magical glow of more than 3 million white lights is an unforgettable experience – which is why it’s considered one of the top light displays in the world.

Christmas Parade
Experience St. Augustine's annual Christmas Parade with floats, marching bands, cars, horses and the arrival of Santa. The parade starts at 9 a.m. by the Mission Nombre de Dios off San Marco Avenue and continues through the downtown streets of historic St. Augustine. This year's event will take place on December 2, 2023.

Colonial Night Watch
In this event, historical interpreters recreate 18th century combined Spanish, British, French, colonial militia and Native American military arts, culture and lifestyles throughout the day at the Colonial Quarter and Castillo de San Marcos. The St. Augustine Colonial Night Watch Torchlight Parade is at 7 p.m. from the Castillo to the Governor's House Cultural Center & Museum. This year's events will take place on December 2, 2023.
