Hagerstown EC12 Regatta Oct 15-16
Posted: Wed Aug 31, 2022 10:27 amSkippers- The 2022 Hagerstown EC12 Regatta will be a two day event for the first time. It will be on Oct 15-16 and hosted by Cumberland Valley MYC.
Sailing venue is City Park Lake in Hagerstown MD. It has been named the 2nd most beautiful city park in America. The lake is overlooked by the Washington County Museum of Fine Art.
Cumberland Valley Model Yacht Club is the first to ever be allowed to sail model boats on this city treasure. The lake has a sidewalk around the entire perimeter with a stone wall edge and the water level is less than a foot below the sidewalk. Bring your lifting cradle.
Hagerstown MD is nicknamed "Hub City" because it is easy to get to from all four compass points located at the junction of I-70 and I-81. Lots of Civil War history in the immediate surrounding area as well as the amazing Washington County Art Museum at the lake itself!
