The Notice of Race and Online Entry have been posted to both the Class schedule and the Florida EC12 Association site. And the online entry is right here as well.

We hope to see everyone there for this event. The hotel has increased their rates quite a bit, but they gave us a really good deal. King room is $139.00 and two Queens is $159.00. The hotel gave us a direct link to make your reservations: https://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hotels/u ... v=99801505

This regatta will also be the Annual Meeting of the Florida EC12 Association.

I thought the meeting was after the Regatta in St. Pete.

Okay, so I have corrected and the Annual Meeting of the Florida Ec12 Association will be held at the St. Pete regatta. But you guys still need to get your entries in ASAP. Thanks

Well, I don't think I have ever been to a better regatta, both as a skipper or as RD. I am not bragging on myself as the RD. I'm talking about the Chamber of Commerce weather. Crystal clear skies, perfect 8 to 10 knots of wind mostly straight down the shore with a few big puffs and shifts to make it interesting. And, add to that the wonderful attitude of the skippers and crew. All protest were handled on the water with no words of complaint or argument. I just could not have asked for better weather, better sailors or better helpers. It was the easiest regatta I have ever RDed. I just had to start the clock and call the finishes. We didn't move a single mark the whole weekend. I take that back, we move one mark just to get it out of the way as it was not needed.

We sailed 27 heats in all. John Bottensek lead the race up to the 14th heat, when Jon Luscomb, Alan Perkins and Baron Bremer started to close in on him and eventually all would overtake him and then Liz Perkins quietly snuck in there to take 4th place. The racing was very close all weekend and just about everyone had some hiccup with there boat, be it a shroud breaking, a jib swivel snapping, a rudder servo or a battery issue. I don't think anyone didn't have something to deal with, but everyone got what ever it was fixed and everyone finished the regatta. Saturday was right on the edge of A or B rigs with about half the fleet going with the B-rigs. Those with As on had a tough time in the big puffs. Sunday was a tiny bit lighter with everyone using A-rigs.

Thank you to all my helpers, Tom Phillips, Bill Wells, John Bottensec, Frank Ligon, Randy Cheshire, Baron Bremer, Cheryl Bremer and especially Jackie Miller whole helped with the scores on the finish line. And a big thank you to all the skippers for sailing fair and clean.

See Corrected Results below.

Next up is the St Pete regatta. Get your entries in. See you at the lake.
