I am not just thinking about going, I just registered.

By the way, the online entry link on the Florida site was going to the Villages Gator Regatta form instead of the Villages New Years form. I have corrected it. If you registered using the wrong form, be sure to check with Alan or John Goldsworthy. I am sure one of them got it, but it just has the wrong date info.

I also heard from Danny Thomas that a there may be a large group of Yankees coming down to sail in this regatta. David Brawner, Dave Branning, Danny and others are checking their schedules. Reichard Kahle and Ricky Gerry from Charleston are also supposed to be coming. This may turn out to be a quite a good turnout with some very good talent. Be sure to enter as soon as you can.

Hey Joe, Correction from our chat, While I was speaking with Dave Branning the other day about up coming events I was thinking of attending, he mentioned that DB might be going. I haven't spoken to him directly. I'm definitely trying to make it this year as I haven't been to a Villages regatta in a long time. I believe from my chats with Papa Bear over the weekend @ the Wisteria cup over some special cokes that he was trying to make it happen also and we're trying to drag Ricky and the family down as well. I don't know of any others from up my way.

Cheers,
Danny

Me too. Hope they let us in. How did the 15th sneak past us so quickly?
Hope to see you all there.
Also note that at the annual meeting it was voted to have one throw-out for every 8 races sailed.
Thanks, George

I know it is the middle of Christmas shopping time, but you all really do need to get your entries in for the New Years regatta. The Villages club has stepped up to fill in for the Naples regatta that used to be at this time. They need to make plans and figure out how much stuff to get.

I know we can do better than 10 boats. Should be more like 20+

It just take a few minutes to fill out the entry online.

Dave Branning yelled at me for not posting any scores. So here goes.

1. Perkins 28
2. Brawner and Walter tied at 49
4. Kahle 54
5. Luscomb 65

It is as cold as a witch's ti....you know.

Ah Hah.....you did give us a little taste of what's going on, Joe. Mr Brawner was giving me fake and limited news. Vella gave me a frozen windshield report. I'm assuming you are typing with gloves on.Thanks for the tease and you folks have a great day as it warms up to 50. Where's Al Gore, when you need him?

Just got home from the Villages. Just a really great weekend even in the cold. Today ended with over 60 degree temps, but started with below freezing. Lots of layers were coming off with each heat sailed.
Thanks David Brawner for bringing the bag full of hand warmers. You are the champ of the weekend in my book, even though Alan kick all our asses.
John Goldsworthy did a wonderful job in his first RD role. Today's wind direction really threw him, but he set up good course. All the crew at the Villages did a great job and Ken Morrison and his family hosted a great dinner party on Friday night.

I took this photo of the score board. It should hold you over until John gets a chance to post a report.
