I just sent in my entry. Is there a cabin to bunk in? Tom Phillips is joining me. His entry is coming as soon as his internet is restored at his house.

The Atlanta Yacht Club really rolled out the red carpet for us all. Dinner Friday night, breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturday and breakfast and lunch again on Sunday. Plus the traveling skippers were put up in cabins for free. John Muhlhausen and company did a great job running the regatta in difficult wind conditions. Having a control area was new to most skippers, but it did prevent people from twisting an ankle on the rocks or worse.

Danny Thomas was on fire as usual, but everyone had moments of greatness around the course. The 16 boat single fleet was a lot of fun, but this venues deserves more numbers of entries. You need to put the Gone With The Wind regatta on your schedule for next year. You will not be disappointed.

Congratulations Danny on your win and thanks from me and a dozen other skippers who you helped all weekend long with emergency repairs and sail tuning. That is a true measure of sportsmanship.

Also a great big thank you to Dave Linville for supplying the home brewed beer that we drank all weekend long. The Burning Dog Tail was my favorite.

Thanks Bill and Beth Tumlin and all your wonderful crew at AYC. Southern hospitality at its finest!

Thank you, Joe, for the kind words about John Muhlhausen and crew and our regatta. It was wonderful to go up against several very talented skippers, who took home the trophies. It is all good and all great fun. My cable service just got repaired and back up a few minutes ago, so I will post the top ten on the score sheet out of 16 boats. There should be a link to pictures soon.

It was wonderful to have Danny Thomas come all the way down to race with us for the second year in a row. He spent a lot of time helping one of our newer members tune and tweak his his non-DT rig. Thank you, Danny for doing that.
