The 2016-17 Florida EC-12 Association season kicks off in Punta Gorda the weekend of November 12 &13. The NOR and entry form will be up shortly. Matthew kind of distracted attention. Stay tuned!

Entry update. We now up to 22. There are still several names conspicuous by their absence. Noone from Naples yet?? Looking forward to stories from the NCR. We will do everything possible to get last minute entries into the show.

The fleets have been posted on the Florida EC-12 site. We have 24 boats. With four up four up and four down we will have 14 on the line for each start.

Friday evening we are going to meet at Monty's Restaurant and Pizzeria about 6:00. The address is 2515 Tamiami Trail (Rt. 41). Good pizza and full bar!

Saturday nights dinner arrangements have been made at The Burnt Store Grill. It is located at Burnt Store Promenade, 3941 Tamiami Trail. It's in a good sized strip mall between Home Depot and Publix. Time will be announced Saturday.

Day one is in the books as they say. The nice 4-6 easterly we had a the start didn't last long. By mid-morning the RD was starting the course changes and the wind velocity was coming and going. By lunch the wind had backed 90 deg. so we moved the racing from the south course to the east course. The afternoon wind wasn't steady by any account. Some periods of real drifting. Still managed to get in 11 heats. If the forecast is close to correct we should get the 5 more we need for a 2nd throwout. I only have sail numbers from the scorer but this is better than nothing. Great job to the SunCoastMYC and RD Art and his team for keeping the heats clocking along.

The wind was mostly there from many directions which made sailing the beats a guessing game.

The weather was beautiful so once again thank you SCMYC for an enjoyable regatta.
