Thanks to Dave Brawner and Dave Branning for such a great regatta. The list of people that made this regatta one that will remembered for a long time is huge so thanks everyone. No one does it alone and this regatta's team of volunteers was no exception. Great job guys!!!
It's pretty cool that people will travel so far, from other countries and thruout the US to sail together. One of our greatest strengths is the people in our class. Have a problem and three people will fight to solve it. Ask a question and four will have an answer. Be new to the class and show up to sail and you will have new friends you feel you have known for years. Sit for hours under postponment and no one really minds because we can take more time to catch up with friends or work on boats . .. Now THAT is what make a class like ours so great!
This years regatta saw conditions that were warned might be possible. C rigs guys, lots and lots of C rigs. Mother Nature smiled and delivered. Wow was it wild!! To those that made it up and sailed, was that cool or what? To those that missed it hope to see you next year. Start planning so you can experience all the fun.
See you on the water
Dave
