Confirmed Entry List:
Mervin Jones
Tony Shoaf
Gerry Cobley
Richard Wiley
Ron Small
Martin Rexius
Steve Helander

On the fence:
Clint C.
More folks from Raleigh????
ATL Folks?????
SC Folks???

Unfortunately, Scott is unable to attend and defend his title this year. The date change got him.

We need some more entries to start funneling in. Would love to see more of the Raleigh guys come on over, as well as the ATL and SC fleets. Locals should be signing up this week. Like last year, if we have a lower than expected turnout, I'll go ahead and race.

Quick Results post. Will write and post full regatta report later this week.

2015 Soak At The Oak results, May 2-3, 2015
We completed 21 heats spread out over two days (15 on Sat, 6 on Sunday morning). Chamber of Commerce weather (lows in the low 50s, highs in the mid 70s, partly cloudy/sunny). Due to the cold front that passed through on Friday, we had to use both venues. Wind from the North on Saturday forced a diamond shaped course near the sailboat ramp. Wind shifted to typical WSW on Sunday, and allowed for very long legs along a rectangular course. A couple of boats were sidelined at various parts of the afternoon on Saturday. Tony's camera has about a bazillion images on it (thats what happens when you give two teenage girls access to a camera).

Congratulations to Gerry Cobley for becoming this year's Winner. He sailed very cleanly, offered several competitors assistance, and instructed some spectators sailing Frank Angel's 1858.

1. Gerry Cobley 26
2. Tony Shoaf 34
3. Steve Helander 53
4. Mervin Jones 61
5. Richard Wiley 83
6. Ron Small 97
7. Martin Rexius 99
8. Clint Collins 146 (Saturday Only)
