We think Liz Perkins sailed the most races at 22. I think we should consider the Bubble Club Trophy....

I know, we can't call it the Bubble Boy anymore.

I fully concur with Mr. Walters. An award should be given to the CS that finishes 5th in B fleet the most times. I am pretty sure I know whom that good looking person is. That handsome fellow never made it out of B until the very last race of the weekend........

Some skippers were reluctant to attend PBG because of bad weather the last couple of years.

The weather was sunny and great this year. The wind blew on Saturday, but quite steady at 14-15 with some puffs up to 19-20. But the puffs were not violent. I heard several skippers comment that it was the best B rig day they had ever sailed. And it was good experience for those who typically stay home when the wind gets to these levels.

Our host Jon Luscomb and RD Doc Greer and committee did a fantastic job.

Well Frank, I was thinking of my own performance on Saturday and my long stay in B-fleet, but that Soling CS guy was there longer than myself. Perhaps we just need a CS trophy for something at all the regattas. :D
How about best collision by one CS into another CS

Congratulations to Bob Greer and the PBGMYS team
You ran a neat regatta.
As for the gentle breezes.......you should name this regatta the PGB Blow Out regatta as we have had the most wind of the season for the past few years at this regatta. I even saw a C rig or two on the water this year. So one needs to come prepared with snow gear just in case..!! ☺

Also I suggest that you consider to move the regatta date away from the Valentines week-end as the Hotel Prices are way up there ...I hear that mentioned every year I have sailed in PBGMYS.

Enjoyable regatta............only missed the far marks twice over the two days...!!

Hope to see you all in Jacksonville in April 26th & 27th.

ciao,

We are discussing a move to another date to avoid the problems you have mentioned.
Thanks for coming: and I will see you in Jax.

I agree with what Dick said about the best B-rig weather....it was. Saturday was really fun. It was breezy and consistant with very few "slamming" blasts. The weather was cool in the morning and by 11:00 most everyone was in shorts. Sunday started a little cool and as the breeze lightened it became stunning. This was not a blow out by any stretch of the imagination. It was Chamber weather. If only the breeze was further to the north or further to the south. We can only wish.

As for the dates, we can move them easily, but what will it do to the period between Naples, PBG and St. Pete?

I received alot of compliments on the dinner venue on Saturday night.

If anyone has photos from PBG that have the presentation of awards I would like to get the group photo and one where the 3 distaff sailors were in it. Others that may be interesting for the news. If you have some on picassa or such, please post the link.

Thanks

Tom
