Whine Alert!!!
(and for those that put on their questionnaire that Beer was their favorite snack this is not the kind of whine you drink.)

O.K. all of you out there....now is the time to take up your tillers and come to the aide of those (ME) who don't have an opportunity to sail except for the weekend regattas. We need the fleet to rally and register for the Orlando regatta. Bill Gale and crew put on a fine event last year, but, with so few signing up, who could blame them if they decide to cancel. I spend many nights dreaming of an upcoming regatta because, finally, I get a chance to sail (Tallahassee is a 3 hr one way drive away from the closet sailing) . To make matters worse, I got sick down in West Palm and of course, was one of the committee for the St. Pete regatta (what I would have given to be in that small of a fleet...) so I haven't sailed in almost three months. I'm going through withdrawals! Send in your registration now (or better yet call Bill and tell him it's in the mail). Don't let me dissolve into a drooling, whimpering, lunatic. --A desperate skipper

I am coming. I sent in my entry late, but it is in the mail. I heard that Bill has extended the entry deadline. This is very nice of him, but I sure wish he did not have to do it. Come on folks, show your support and come sail. I am going to have fun, I hope to see more of you there.

As Ricky Bobby so eloquently says:

REEEEAALLYY?

What are we waiting for? Sign up! It is all about the party anyway...isn't it?

I am looking forward to this and I want all of my friends to sail. Alan is giving his daughter away this week to a bloke who sails these bloody boats....and he is coming: I think to recover! Maybe we can have a belated bachelor party for Alan! If not, then maybe Ricky in absencia if not then we can just make something up there!!

Come SAILING!

I do not have scores yet, so this is a good guess.

I am in the lead by 4 or 5 points and Jon Luscomb and Allen Perkins are hot on my heels just. They are either tied or one point apart. When I see the scores at dinner, I will try to post them.

Tom Phillips has been doing quite well also and should be in a solid 4th place. He has 3 bullets but he struggled a little the last few heats, but my guess is he is still up there.

11 boats on the line in one fleet. 18 very good heats sailed with mostly windward leeward legs, but a few wind shifts made for a lot of reaching.

The Sunday Sloopers club is doing a great job hosting the event. The weather has been good with overcast keeping it cooler and the rain staying away. Tomorrow they say severe thunderstorms, so we may not finish the day.

Luscomb has the drinks flowing in the room next door. I am out for not.

This was a great regatta. The weather was very good considering how bad the forecast was. The course was good both days and the racing was close. Very close. After 24 Heats sail at 11:30 sunday, just one point separated me, Alan and Jon. Alan did absolutely everything right on Sunday. He just kept picking away at my Saturday lead until we were tied after 24 heats and then finished off the last three heats of the regatta with 2 bullets and 2nd.

Bill Gale and his crew from the Sunday Sloopers club did a great job. They rolled out the red carpet for us and really gave us a great event.

I had an excellent time. The regatta was up for grabs until the last set of three races. Very exciting for me. Alan sailed away while Joe and I failed to stay out of trouble ( the most important part of this game!).

Congrats to Alan and all of those who participated. The weather was really very good considering the forcast. Sunday's wind direction could not have been better for this pond. Long beats, B-rigs and lots of shifts.

Bill and his crew really did a great job on this one for sure. Quite frankly I really enjoyed sailing with a smaller single fleet for change. We had alot of races! It was great.

I will not be able to sail Jacksonville so I want to wish all of you a fun and safe summer and I am already looking forward to sailing this fall!

 Well done Bill and crew from SundaySloopers a great weekend. Weather forecast was foul, rain, thunderstorms etc but we got lucky and ended up getting some 28 races in.
Bill and his team kept us going both days with three races and a short break and with the winds increasing all morning Sunday this did cause some delays and breakages plus a few bumps out on the course. Everyone took Joe's pep talk re code of conduct to heart and most of the bumps were accidental fortunately no major damage. Thanks again guys and see the fleet in St Augustine for the seasons grand fanale and AGM.
If you have not signed up yet get online and get your entry in asap. Our World Champion is hoping to come down from Charleston with his new wedding present from Bob D so come join the fun.

Thanks Bill Gale and the rest of the Sunday Sloopers....I had a great time and enjoyed being spoiled by the indoor lunch and the staff that came early to make sure the bathrooms were opened for us ladies....can hardly wait for next year.
