Match racing? Last posting were in 2005. Is there a possibility we can get an interest on this format. I believe this can be made into an interesting event on to itself. I like to share some ideas on the subject.

Match racing was offered at the NCR and other major events for several years. By 2005 the number of people participating was dwindling.

Match racing consumed a lot of time from the fleet racing progam at an event and was exhausting for the staff to accomplish. It is also an event seriously contested where knowing the rules has the advantage.

There is no reason that regionally or locally match racing events cannot be hosted. It has been talked about recently but nothing scheduled. The class will not be planning these kind of sailing events till there is some interest demonstrated.
