Well Gents,

We are just under a month away from one of the best sailing events of the season. Newport RI and FT Adams is a very unique stop on the New England circut. Past events have seen calm near drift condtions on one day and 2-3ft breaking waves the next with a foul tide to boot! Check out the photos from 2009 from Bob Greer. Sunday was amazing. Motel 6 seems to offer the best rates in Newport with prices around $80/night. Dinner will be dutch at the Coddington Brewery as in years past.

Well, Newport did not disapoint. Beautiful weather on Saturday with S winds 5-8. Newport would not be worth it if we did not get a taste of B rigs and for a short time C's might have been a good call. Sunday started off at 8-10kts out of the South but started building at lunch to the high teens and a few races into the low 20's but then it settled to perfect B rig condidtions for the balance of the day.

After 26 races in challenging conditions, the results looked like this...
