I know it is a little early but we are well underway in our planning for a great regatta in Annapolis. Just want to get some information out for you all to start planning. Chesapeake Bay Model Racing Association is pleased to invite all registered EC-12 owners to the Annapolis EC 12 Regatta to be hosted at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, MD.

ABOUT THE VENUE:

Sandy Point State Park is located at the base of the Western Side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge just a few miles from historic downtown Annapolis. We will be sailing in the Marina area of the park. Skippers will be able to launch from floating docks that have ramps down to them. No need to get your feet wet to launch or retrieve your boat. The parking area is close by as are the restrooms. SOCIAL ACTIVITIES:

On Friday evening Chesapeake Performance Models will be hosting a cook out at their shop just on the East side of the Bay Bridge at 227 Main Street, Stevensville, MD 21666. A Saturday evening dinner is planned in the Annapolis Area. Light breakfast of coffee and donuts will be provided as will lunch for Saturday and Sunday.

WHERE TO STAY:

Numerous hotels are in the area where sailors can stay. There is a Comfort Inn, Quality Inn and Motel 8 within a few miles of the Park. More hotels listed via this direct link: http://www.rcyachts.com/Nats/2004/accommodations1.htm

Important Message: Sandy Point State Park uses an auto attendant at the entrance, please have dollar bills or change so you may enter the park. The daily fee is $3 I believe and is not included in the entry.

To Ernie, Amanda and all skippers attending. What a great weekend! Thank you very much for all the help, wonderful food and good times.
As a rookie skipper this year I have really enjoyed this new boat and look forward to sailing with all of you next season. To all going to the Nationals good luck.

2010 Dates and a J Regatta too!

Looks like we will be back for 2010 on November 6th and 7th. We will also be running a one day J regatta on Friday the 5th.
