I'll wager if the Green Mountain list was published you would have the top 30 sailors in the country sailing the 6th of June between Elon and Stowe!

I would like to take a minute to say thank you to Frank and his entire crew on an incredible regatta. Everything was amazingly well run and I know I can speak for the Atlanta Crew (well, maybe Skip has a different opinion [B)]) in saying that we had an awesome time this weekend. Here is to many more in Elon....

Cheers!

Anytime you go to Elon for a regatta, you should plan on a well managed event hosted by a tremendous group of people. This year's event was no exception. Uncle Frank's control, Linda's constant smile and optimism and all of the other Piedmont MYC members willingness to help out made this year's regatta a joy to be part of, even if it was a brief one for me.

After four separate major failures (bow block, broken winch line, reversing winch and finally a floating transmitter) I determined that the Good Lord just didn't want me to compete this weekend. Regardless of all this, I still had a good time while I was there.

Frank, you've said it before and I couldn't agree more. Elon is the EC12's venue that is "too tough to tame". However, I'm going to keep trying. I'll be back again next year.

Please thank everyone on your team for a great time.

Now that is how a great competitor responds to adversity!
If I had not such a SUPER time in the Green Mountains of Stowe I'd have really enjoyed sailing in this regatta.
Can't we get them on different week-ends?

Great pictures. I especially like all the captioning, it let me put names with faces.
