Does anyone know of a store in the Carolinas or Georgia that actually stocks door skins as used to make sail boxes? No guessing please. Thank you.

My next one will be made from Leows "sort of almost like door skin" but oak with color and lines, but I am curious where the real thing might be available.

Have you ever seen one made using Gator Board (google it). I have. It was very well constructed and light. I can't remember the fellow's name that built it. An important feature of the construction was that the Gator Board fit into a dado (I think you call it) in the wood frame. That way the edge of the GB is protected.

Home Depot or Lowe's carries it.

I'll give the JAX area Home Depot and Lowe's a call. Atlanta area stores do not currently carry door skins. Any other cities where they do? Or other lumber yards?

I got my door skins from Lowes, but it was about 8 years ago. Back then the Home Depot did not have it. I am not sure Lowes has them anymore either.
