I have recently come into possession of Hickman hull #388.
My question is....Is this hull legal in the USA?
Any answers would be appreciated.
Best wishes from the warmth of middle earth.

It could be if verified. A Hickman #388 is not registered in the the class registry. We have no knowledge of it. Is there any other information in the hull? That serial number would make it likely built in 1996.
To answer is it legal? No, by reason it is not in the class database.

Thanks for that Rick. No there is no further information in the hull.
I understand the hull shell was bought new from the USA by a New Zealand skipper. I was trying to post a picture of the label but I am unable to do that on this forum with my skills or lack of them.
I will try to email you a copy if I may.
Cheers Ian.
