Question about "chartering" a boat for a series event

Postby steve h » Mon Jan 18, 2016 12:39 pm

Hey Joe,

Does the class have an official policy on whether it allows amya members who dont own an ec12 from "chartering, borrowing, using" someone else's (or a club boat) for one of the 2 day regattas? Or is it up to the local RD's discretion?

Thanks,
Steve

So long as the boat is registered with the Class and the skipper is an AMYA member, borrowing is fine. In the case of a regional or national regatta, the boat must also have a measurement certificate.
