Jib Trim servo and set up

Postby BobR » Sat Jun 30, 2007 8:12 am

Anyone have a suggestions for the servo for the jib trim, I would prefer to stay with Hitec. I also need to know what most of you are using for the bracket for the servo and set up used.

Bob
whatever you do; use a 'high torque, 2-BB' servo. There is quite a bit of load on that application

The Hobbico sr70 (71?) from tower hobby is a good one and cost less than HiTrc. I believe that HiTec makes the the Hobico brand for Tower.

Bracket?? I made my own, mounted it to the 'radio board' with the winch and rudder servo and attached the whole thing to the keel.

My guess is that the class building site has good info or I can send some pics if you wish

I have a BB high torque servo on the way and have ordered a block from Worth, think it will work out ok. I need to start to figure this stuff out but the help is always appreciated.
