Is anyone using this radio? I am thinking this would be a good tx for an ec-12. what servos are best to use for rudder and jib trim?

JR only shows air (72 mgH) recievers/xmtrs on the JR site;you want 75 for surface use. That is a LOT of radio. For $400.00 you could get 2 DX6 spectrum radios and recievers.I use a 3004(42 oz/in torque) for jib trim and a cirrus CS80 (129 oz/in)for rudder. The rudder torque is probably overkill but sometimes needed.

Chas,

The survey should give you some idea of what people use for sevos. Also look at the building site ec12.info. I personally am confused about digital, coreless, high amperage draw... I just go with the cheap copies of the HS-645 that being the Tower Hobbies TS70 for jib trim and rudder. Also a good idea to use the alternate wiring on the RMG; puts 6v versus about 5v coming out of the RMG (6v meaning pretty much full battery power) to the servos.
