RMG TroubleShooting

Postby Tom Causin » Mon Dec 22, 2003 12:31 pm

HELP!!!!
I have an RMG260 that is not happy! Upon powerup it gives me two rising tones (and that is it) but no response from stick movement.
Conditions:
-Fully charged 6V AA 1700Mah Battery Pack!
-Rudder and Jib Trim servos work Fine!
-Throwing the Sail trim stick from full in to full out will only get
one tooth set of travel, yet the winch seems NOT to be exhibiting attempt to apply load to the gears.
-When the power is off I can move the worm gear fine. (not locked up)

Please give me some questions? Make sure they post here so others can benifit!

Bad news sorry Tom

Had the same trouble with one of mine about 12 months ago.
Solution - get in mail ASAP to Rob Guyatt - he will repair and return pretty quick.

I had some repairs done about a year ago. Two week turnaround. Make sure that you put "servo returned for repair or something similar" on the customs tag.

If anyone knows what boat "busy buddy" is...... It is for Sale. More news to follow![;)]
