Does anyone know about a problem between channels that are 23 apart, like 63 and 86. This was written up a few years ago in Model Yachting, issue 129. It came up in conjunction with an upcoming regatta. It seems in our Nationals last year we had a lot of frequency use that were 23 apart and no problems that were noted.

John,
This has been studied at length by the CR914 class and also by the model aviation people. Bottom line, the 23 channel problem really only exists with the cheaper single conversion receivers and even then, it is subject to a lot of variables, like how close the transmitters are, how well the receivers are tuned, etc.
Dual conversion receivers solve the problem. Changing crystals (and not retuning) on a radio aggrevate the problem.
My advice, go to dual conversion receivers and don't worry about it.
