Which of the new Futaba transmitters would be compatible with the receiver in the EC. If I were to go to FM, then I would need to change the receiver also. Much willingness here. I have seem how well the FM sets do in our Soling group.

Nick,
In addition to Tower Hobbies, Servo City (http://www.servocity.com) has a great selection of Futaba computer radios and Hitec multiple channel units. Their prices are good for those in the hobby, as you can buy on that which you need (like all those useless servos and chargers you never use).

The Futaba units can handle anything a 12 will ever need and you get exponential rudder control, which is marvelous for old goats like me. They do not have the 6Cap that replaced the older 6XAS but the 7 is a good unit.
