Our club sails in the shadow of two 1,000 foot tall TV towers. Only one guy in our club has a problem with signal loss and it only happens in about a 5 foot radious circle in the middle of the lake. Everywhere else on the lake he is fine.

One weekend we moved the wing mark to the center of that circle when he wasn't there. [:D][}:)][:D]

I think I may have been the one to lead the charge to the 6XAs about four years ago. The real reason we started using them was it was the cheapest radio that Futaba offered on the HAM band. We needed extra frequencies for large races such as Lake Norman and Charleston.

If you don't need HAM band, then other cheaper four channel radios will fit your needs. Many prefer that knob for the jib trim.

i USE A jr EX421 fm,dual conversion and HAVE EXPERIENCED very bad "crazy ivans" at the starts.I have to move away quickly or crash.I note that my rubber ducky is not as powerful as an extendable alunmium.
