Instructions for Spektrum Dx6i

Does anyone know of any instructions for programming a Dx6i, either a website or documentation somewhere? The manual that comes with the radio describes each function, but doesn't explain how to program the function. I learned from a fellow sailor that the Trainer switch plays an important role in the programming process, but the manual doesn't even mention the Trainer switch.

What does "doesn't explain how to program the function" mean?

It seems like there is a whole great big section starting on page 29 thru page 76 that is all about programming.

Are you trying to do specific things that do not happen the way you think they should when you follow the instructions in the manual?

Here is an internet site that I found to be interesting.

The radio and the manual are maddening to me as well, I have to admit. I have a word document for future reference that says only:
"When I figure out how to get out of inh inhibited again I need to write it down".

Scott, just to clarify things a little ... I have just purchased the latest, DSMX, version of the Dx6i. I was looking for which buttons to push, or switches to activate, in order to enter values into the functions that we need to set up a model. The manual is different from what you have described. Only the first 26 pages are in English, with no explanations. There is no "big section starting an page 29 thru page 76 that is all about programming." Thanks for the website reference though. That looks like what I need.

You might want to download (and print out) the front part the old manual that I was talking about. Thru page 76. After that is Helicpter.

I hope it works out for you. Great radio system.

Thanks for the suggestion to print the old manual, Scott. Not sure why they would leave it out of their latest manual. Seems like essential information that everyone would need.
