Third Channel For Jib Trim

Postby pgfaini » Mon Feb 15, 2010 12:48 pm

Hi Skippers,
I'm Setting up my Spektrum DX6i, and never having used three channels before, have to decide which will be the best control to operate the jib trim servo.

The receiver is their MR3000, which has three channels, dual output throttle and steering, and an auxiliary. I'm using the customary aircraft throttle channel (vertical left hand constant), for the sail winch, and the Aileron (horizontal right hand momentary center off) for the rudder. Is there a particular trim lever or joystick that is customarily used for the jib trim? Was wondering if one of the fine trim levers will give me enough travel to use, perhaps the left horizontal joystick channel(Airplane rudder). I can also send the transmitter in to have a joystick converted to constant on.

Thanks for any input,

Paul
