Hi Blokes, Hows your Winter going? This Summer of ours is well past its use by date. I am thoroughly over all this 100F heat.

Never being one to mis a chance to have a say I was happy to take a look at this thread.[:D]

Just a comment on the idea of starting current causing Spektrum glitching when using NiMh batteries. Indeed there will be a voltage drop and it will be much less if using LiPo. But as long as the wiring is adequate and not corroded it should not be obvious even with NimH. I've been using LiPo for several years so am not up with the latest in NimH but I hear that they have improved.

If you are concerned about burning the house down with LiPo then stay with NimH but it is my understanding that it's usually attempting to recharge an over discharged pack that causes problems. I've accidentally over discharged a few pack over time but learnt very quickly to just throw them out if that happens.
