The design is to establish pre-bend to the mast independent of backstay tensions with raked spreaders. This bend is created by tension on the upper and mid shrouds. The spreader addition is at the general area for the lower shrouds. They are shorter in length and well inside the width of the hull. The jumper spreader remains to counter mast bend in the upper third.

We have no rules to the design of a rig but that of esthetics pleasing to the EC12.
