There has not been a lot of development of the jib twitcher since the EC12 manuals were published.
The purpose of the twitcher is to be able to set the jib to the preferred side in light winds. I believe it has little value in normal to higher winds.
Most of us have resorted to balancing the jib with weight to help it set properly. Yet this additional weight is a detriment in higher winds.
What say ye, is there value in a twitcher? or is it just one more thing to go wrong?
In Optimizing the EC12, mention is made to develop a twitcher using a drum and winch rather than an arm arrangement. Has anyone tackled this and can you report your design and findings
