I am about to ink the numbers on my sails. I note that some main sails are done with the numbers perpendicular to the mast, and some are done with the numbers parallel to the sail panel seams.

I tried "search" and saw no discussion of this topic.

I prefer the "parallel to the seams" style. Any problem with this?

Either way is fine but be sure that the numbers fit the parameters as shown on page eight of the current rules.
