Choice of B Rig Sail Material?

Postby steve h » Mon Feb 29, 2016 5:55 pm

Afternoon Skippers,

I'll be placing an order for a suit of B-rig sails, and figured I'd see which material was the weapon of choice? I'm leaning toward px75, but am open to suggestions.

We've got a lot of new boat owners in my neck of the woods, so this thread should get a lot of miles of usage here. That is probably the top question I get.

Also, any helpful tips on B rig construction. Mast height, spreader height, etc. I know the booms are the same length.

Thanks,
Steve

I was Tri-75 but have seen our top scoring skipper,Alan Perkins ,using 505.
The measurements are on the website.
I would discuss this with your sail maker,of whom we are blessed to have a talented group,to agree on your particular pond (needs).
Even if you want to make your own-way above my talent level-these gentlemen would probably advise you wisely.
