Tuning sail settings

The main generally is set 5-7 degrees off centline of boat.
The jib is generally set 12 degrees off centerline of boat.
Using a drum winch (single) line out.
What is the <u><b>desidered</b></u> relationship of the jib to the main at the following degrees of main boom rotation.
Main 20 Jib ____
Main 40 Jib ____
Main 60 Jib ____
Main 80 Jib ____
The Jib sheet attachment point on the boom can be changed to decrease the travel of the jib. [8)]
I am still in skipper denial phase of learning to sail. Blame it on the boat!!!!.

Thank you Doug,

The site is really interesting reading. It can be way over our heads in detail but he confirms that the Jib should travel slower than the main or the main should catch up to the jib on a drum winch.[:X]
