Jib and Main Booms

Postby Rick West » Thu Dec 24, 2009 8:48 pm

I need detailed photos of the cutdown mast booms and the fittings on them in the rigging. This is needed for the Building Site and I want to present this boom and leave the round boom behind.

Can any one help me out with this. 1024 images would be good or with file sizes suitable for emailing. Thanks.

I also need suggest for a good supplier of the bright stainless steel stranded rigging wire in .018" and .015". I am chanllenged to find one with rolls of around 300'. Thanks again.

Rick said "Bright". I shot from the hip. That almost never works. Try this one for Bright.

Rick,
Have you gotten any hits/info on the cut down masts for booms for the building site? I am putting together a few new rigs and am anticipating using goldspar masts for the booms, but as you know, there is not a lot of information out there today for them.

No there isn't. RMD sells them so must have some set up for them. I have never seen any photos to see.

Bob,
Will you be bringing some mast blanks?
We had 11 boats on the line Sunday and have more on the ways in palm beach. They will be asking for material.

Rick,

I do not know if Bob D sent you pics, but Al Stall has good ones posted as part of his build slideshow.
