Retrofitting a sheeting arrow shaft running to the bow

I was going to see how long I could hold out, Reichard, and this is as long as I could do it. I appreciated the ribbing..

I am putting the insides back into a redecked boat using the same plywood radio board, but I had ripped out the srew eye up at the bow that had the sheeting loop turning block attached to it. I was trying to figure out where to attach a forward arrow shaft to the radio board when there is no good place to do it.

I got the hairbrained idea to run the shaft from the bow back to the aft screw holding the starboard stay rack in place. I put a longer 2-56 screw in the aft hole of the stay rack, drilled a hole in the aft end of shaft. slipped it up onto the screw and added the nut. That was after wedging the front end of the shaft into the broken up bow bulkhead. It should work real great. A double block with a shackle is bolted to the left side of the forward end of the shaft.

As a side note, there are a couple of East Coast 12 meters - relics - currently/look quick for sale on ebay. Neither seems like it would be worth anything but a curious glance. ... 6017089255 $1100 yeah right ... 337166db49
