Hickman Rudder

Postby rayhall » Wed Jul 13, 2011 10:34 pm

Can anyone point me in the correct direction for the Hickman Rudder? Due to falling while trying to launch my boat it looks like the rudder is out of alingment, nothing is broken under the deck, however the rudder isn't sitting in the groove correctly.

Thanks for any assistance with this....

Sounds like you need to withdraw the rudder and straighten the shaft.
While removed you should inspect the rudder closer for cracks

I have a rudder that came from a Hickman.
It's pretty well banged up, but if it does anything at all for you, it's yours for the price of shipping.
