Hull separation

Postby Columbia » Mon Nov 29, 2010 11:46 pm

My hull has developed a separation at the seam below the water line where the stem meets the keel. The boat is an Ozman just for the record if that matters. Has anyone ever confronted this? Either way I would like opinions on the repair. One note. I cannot repair from the inside cause it is under the lead.
I know if I had one of Bob's boat, that would never happen.
Maybe one day.[:)]

Cheap strong fix. Lay blue tape close to the gap to make cleanup easy. Fill the gap with JB Weld. Scrape the epoxy so there is no lump to deal with when it hardens. Peel tape. Let it harden and sand it smooth.
