Does anyone have a good source for pure lead? Scrap is ok

I purchased damaged roof flashing lead at Home Depot. It had some kind of "sandy dirt" but when the lead is melted it floats and it is easy to remove it with a big spoon.

Call your local X-Ray equipment distributor. They use it to line walls and always have scrap around

I got pounds of it from a local tire dealer. (used tire balance weights)

Be careful using tire weights. Most of them aren't lead anymore - enviromental. If you are really anal, they aren't as high a specific gravity as pure lead. Probably means your pour will be 1/8" taller
