Is your Ozmun hippy or narrow!

Postby geeks2you » Wed May 13, 2009 8:31 am

I am looking for anyone that may have measurements of their Ozmun hull station beams. I have recently been blessed with a deckless hull [:D] and have the opportunity to rebeam her. I have heard rumors of narrow bow measurements, with closer to middle station beams near the stern, but hoped that others may have some some measurements or opinions.

You are right about narrower beam measurements.

I have an original Ozmun Assembly Manual; if anybody is interested send me an email.

Look at the pix(regatta stuff) of "Katie-O" ,the yellow boat at New England regattas. She has a narrowish bow and is "hippy" at stations 35-45.In a breeze and chop like Newport it is a benefit;light air & smooth water like Stowe-not so much.
I'll get you the actual measurements when I meet up with my boat next weekend in Stowe.
How is the ballast set?
