Hulls-Masts-Sails ?

Postby S-Boat » Tue Oct 25, 2011 12:13 pm

Hello, this is my first posting on the site. I'm thinking about getting an EC12 for use in the north east, at some point in the last week or so when I was searching the web for information on the boat, I ran into a site that had all the up to date info on the past championships of the class. The page had all of the type hulls used, sail makers, I think masts and electronics being used. This was a very informative site for up to the minute gear being used by the fast guys, and I would love to find it again, but can't, does anyone know where to look on the web for this info.

Thanks, Bill B. (Rhode Island)

Ps: Looking for a good first boat, if you have one that you might be looking to sell or want to charter for a couple months, let me know.

2004 survey. There have been a few changes since then, like John B was not making sails then. And RMD and Dave Ramos and... were not making hulls then.

Maybe this is not it.

Probably this one - list of past champions and this is even more out of date.

Thanks, so far, it was the page I was looking at before. Now, what hulls or boats should I stay away from. Should I only look for boats that are after the hull change, or are there special boats from the 70's, 80's that are worth looking for?

Have you checked the class Boat Trader page? http://ec12.org/Clubhouse/FSorT.htm

Boat 1926 new, needs finishing, in your area.

The "club House" site has multiple boats for sale.
As being afraid of a hull to avoid-don't think it is a problem.Read results on region 1 regattas.
