<font face="Arial Black"></font id="Arial Black"><font size="2"></font id="size2">Hello
I am pretty new to RC sailing -and just got an OLD EC-12 from a club
member-Our club keeps trying different systems for score keeping for
our weekly races. This summer we have simple 3X5 cards that each skipper
fills out recording his finishes. This works fine, but how do YOU guys
do it ? are you lucky enough to have a volunteer to score finishes?
I have heard of Ipod Apps and programs for use on a laptop pondside.
Has anyone tried mini voice recorders ? Do you keep score at all ?
I would like to hear your solutions !
Thanks
Allan

Alan- The Jacksonville Fla club sails once a week usually with a scored day once a month. One of the guys on a rotating basis does RD duties. The other weeks we sail, we do not keep score except some do in their heads.

We,Palm Beach Gardens, sail weekly all year.
We sail Soling 1 Meter for 2 hours, EC-12 for 1 1/2 hrs then sit down in the shade and race MicroMagics for another hour.
The winner of each race writes as # 2 calls the finishes. We give these preprinted score sheets-available on our AMYA web site- to Al Stall.
We have the extreme good fortune of having Al Stall in our fleet who transposes these scores into the "St. Pete Scorer " for all to see on our web page -PBGMYS.com - (thank you Doug Bowe).
We do not award anything to summer sailors, so as not to slight our many "snowbirds";but it does not lessen the challenge to beat your shipmate on the pond each Sunday.
i think you might list each boat sailing down the left side and record their finish going right.

Like I said-we are very lucky to have a skipper like Al Stall in our fleet.
